walk the talk //

Many of us claim to be “good people”, but our actions say otherwise. Claim to be loving but turn around to bully someone. Claim to be peaceful but turn around and get angry quickly. We tend to claim we are Christian but turn to the world. We are not perfect people, but that shouldn’t give us an excuse to act the opposite of what we preach. Being hypocrites will make unbelievers think our belief is pointless. Even God doesn’t want us to be like the hypocrites. If we act more like Jesus in every way of our lives, it will make others around us wonder how we have so much love, joy, and peace.

Just like in relationships. If one person keeps talking with no actions, it makes the other person question the whole relationship. You know what they all say, actions speak louder than words.

Also, just like with our faith. Yes, God looks at our faith and our hearts. But if we do not act what the Word says, our belief is pointless. It is good to believe that there is a God, but even the enemy, the devil, believes it, too. Faith without works is dead.

James 2:21-24, 26

21-24 / “Don’t you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son, Isaac, on the altar? You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete. And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: ‘Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.’ He was even called the friend of God. So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.”

26 / “Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.”

So do not be all talk. Show that you truly believe in what you say. This should go for every aspect of your life; In faith, relationships, your career, etc. If you talk it then you better walk it.

Thank you so much for reading this post! I know my posts can be a little straight forward, but I still hope and pray that this encouraged you to continue to not only claim that you believe in God, but that you also glorify Him.
