Before being saved, you relied so much on the sun to give you light. You relied on the moon to show you where to go in the midst of the dark.
Now, that God has overfilled you with His love, you become new. The sun and the moon become little. The very God that created the very sun you so long relied on, becomes your everlasting light. To light your way, brighter than day. No more cries and no more pain. Those who are small become strong. He will do everything in its time.
You have spent enough time in the dark. He will light the way out of it. As gentle as a candle, but brighter than the universe of stars. But in the midst of the dark, give Him glory, praise Him and trust in Him. He’s the One who gives you a way out, every time.
The very One that called out “Let there be light” gives you some of His. It is your job, now, to pass on this very light into this world He created.
‘The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. Then all your people will be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor. The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord ; in its time I will do this swiftly.”’ Isaiah 60:19-22
