Oh, how blind we can be
to the error of our ways.
Even if we don’t realize
the sin of our hearts,
may we be cleansed
from our faults.
Sins of ignorance,
of selfishness,
of pride,
and of presumptuousness.
So may I keep Your
word in my heart,
that Your law can
transform my soul.
That Your wisdom can
fill my simple mind.
That Your statutes
can bring me joy.
And that Your commandments
be my enlightenment.
May I desire it more than gold.
It is better than honey so
may my mouth utter what is sweet.
So forgive me for the
sins I do not realize
and may I be blameless
before You, my God.
