Rebellion of Jonah 1.

Running from God, Jonah feared.
Nineveh was too intimidating of a nation
that his foot didn’t even face that way.
He fled.
As far as he could run,
God still interrupted his plans.
Sent out a great wind
and this great tempest certainly
got Jonah’s attention.
His disobedience led him into the storm.
Went from fearing the storm to fearing the Lord.

But who are we to blame Jonah
when we do the same.
When, if we were in his shoes,
we would be walking no different.
But thank the Lord our God
for chasing after us with grace and mercy
in ways that will surely turn our hearts to Him.
