This laughter has a weary smile.
This heart of joy has its pieces to pick back up.
These friendly eyes have streams to dry.
Because even if this soul is as bright as the sun,
the Son needs to light its way even still.
So no matter the conditions of our lives,
Jesus will always need to be our hope.
No matter how good our lives are, we will still need Jesus. After all, every good and perfect gift is from above (James 1:17). He deserves our every praise, in the bad and in the good.
