Even when my heart is on its own,
Jesus, You fill my very being.
You are the water I thirst for.
You satisfy my longing soul.
I have never known a love like this,
that it takes away and covers all my sin.
A love so strong that the most natural
thing my soul can do is cling to You.
So undeserving of this grace.
You still see me
even when no one else does.
You still love me
even when I am least lovable.
But Your character does not rely
on the emotions of my heart.
It’s just who You are.
And Jesus, who You are is what
every part of me longs for.
So may I fall more in love with You
with every breath I take.
