I just cannot seem to wrap my head around how much love we receive from the Creator of the universe. He does not need us, but still wants our hearts, our problems, our time. He wants a relationship with us even if we fail Him everyday. The Maker of our hearts wants to be the one to heal it. Even with our broken and prideful selves, God still wants to grow us, change us, and bless us. His grace is so beautiful. We deserve none of what He offers, but He still gives it to us. That is not because of who we are, it is because of who He is. He even sacrificed His only Son for us. Jesus shed His blood so we can live free. Now what kind of love can beat that? A King, coming down as a human just like us, and dying the death we deserve. Took our place. Experienced unspeakable pain, so we can experience Him. God’s love so deep, so strong that nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from His love. The Lover of my soul taught me how to love others despite of their flaws and to show His love.
Now, this is love.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
