We are human and we tend to fall in the acts of the flesh. But good news! God gives us the Holy Spirit to walk by so we do not fall into our fleshly desires. The desires of the flesh leads to sin. That is why we need to focus on God and do things of the Spirit. Live by the Spirit and walk by the Spirit. The flesh and the Spirit are opposite and against each other.
Do not give into the lusts of the flesh: Adultery. Fornication. Uncleanness. Lewdness. Idolatry. Sorcery. Hatred. Contentions. Jealousy. Outbursts of extreme anger. Selfishness. Dissensions. Heresies. Envy. Murders. Drunkenness. Revelries. etc. Those who practice these things will not inherit the Kingdom of God and those who are in the flesh cannot please Him.
But with the Spirit, its fruits are: Love. Joy. Peace. Longsuffering. Kindness. Goodness. Faithfulness. Gentleness. & Self Control. The Holy Spirit has made you new and free from “the law of sin and death.” As Jesus Christ came down on earth, He came in the body just like we as sinners have. He died for us and condemned sin in the flesh. He has freed us from sin. The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead, is in the one who lives by the Holy Spirit.
If you live by It, you have God in you. Let the Holy Spirit fill your mind so it can lead you to life and peace!

So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Holy Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
